The elegance award at The Most CLASSIC went to the Lamborghini Miura

Elegant Lamborghini Miura and Trabant, as if cut out of the East German era. Classic cars of all categories and styles descended on the Most autodrom on the last Saturday in September for the third time. This year there were more than 700 of them, making The Most CLASSIC one of the largest car festivals in the Czech Republic.

The Most Autodrom hosted the third annual The Most CLASSIC automobile festival on Saturday, September 28, 2024, boasting a record attendance of more than 700 classic cars. They arrived not only from the Czech Republic, but also from Germany and several other countries. Unlike other similar events, The Most CLASSIC offered vintage car owners a unique opportunity not only to exhibit their well-maintained cars, but also to drive them on a race track or at a polygon.

One of the highlights of the festival was the elegance competition, in which the Lamborghini Miura P400 from 1968, belonging to the collection of Jiří Sudík, won . “I was very pleased and I believe that the Miura rightfully deserves this award. It is a fantastic car not only in its design, but also in its overall concept. It has only one drawback – I can’t fit in it,” commented Jiří Sudík, who also brought a Jaguar D-Type and a Ford Galaxie to Most, on his victory. The Lamborghini Miura is an iconic car, considered one of the most beautiful cars in the history of motoring. The jury, consisting of representatives of automotive design experts and motoring journalists, was enchanted by the Miura’s elegant lines and original condition . “This is an example of perfect automotive design, which not only looks great, but was also so progressive in its time that it still appeals today,” said Radek Laube from the Most autodrom on behalf of the jury.

Other awarded cars included the Pontiac Silver 8 Streak (1950) of Jan Hanzlík from the Všetaty Veterans Club and the Tatra 613 Coupé Vignale (1976) of Roman Grmela, which was produced in a single copy.

The entire Saturday at the Autodrom Most was filled not only with rides on the circuit and polygon, but also with meetings of important automobile clubs, such as Ferrari Classiche SF Praha, Porsche Classic Club and others. This year's novelty was the meeting of Jawa motorcycles, which attracted lovers of Czech motorcycle history. Škoda Auto had a separate exhibition, presenting the 4th generation Octavia RS, Fabia RS Rally 2 and also the legendary Škoda 200 RS.

Josef Zajíček, owner of Autodrom Most and founder of the Czech Oldtimer Express endurance race, also officially announced the route of this race for 2025 on Saturday. The race will start on May 2 and will cross the borders of Germany, Switzerland and France several times along the way, culminating in Cannes on the French Riviera after five stages.

"The Most CLASSIC has become one of the three main events of the season for us and is growing year by year. This year we were pleased not only with the overall level and diversity of the cars that the owners brought, but also with the uniquely lively and pleasantly relaxed atmosphere of the entire festival. We have a lot to work on until next year, but I can already promise fans and owners of classic cars that we will try to make The Most CLASSIC even more magnificent and diverse," Zajíček assessed the course of the festival, which combines passion and enthusiasm for historic cars.
