Over 40 thousand visitors arrived at the Czech Truck Prix. Martin Doubek celebrated victory

The Most circuit was rocked to its foundations last holiday weekend. Over 40,000 visitors came to the 32nd Czech Truck Prix to witness the fantastic victory of Czech driver Martin Doubek in the EuroNASCAR 2 category.

According to the organizers, the attendance exceeded expectations. "The weekend was a success, we recorded 40,517 visitors, which is approximately 30% more than last year, despite the fact that for the first time there was no Czech driver in the truck starting field. However, Martin Doubek made up for it to the fans, who achieved historic success in NASCAR. We thank all fans and partners for their support and I hope you enjoyed the 32nd Czech Truck Prix ," summed up the weekend Josef Zajíček, general director of Autodrom Most and member of the organizing association AMK Most.

Martin Doubek's historic success

Martin Doubek, who entered the weekend as the leader of the European NASCAR championship in the EuroNASCAR 2 category, took his first ever victory on his home circuit in Most. After finishing second on Saturday and setting the fastest lap, he started from pole position on Sunday. The favorite of the home crowd bravely defended his lead over Melvin de Groot from start to finish and scored the 13th victory of his career. Thanks to the long-awaited first home victory, the Czech became the most successful driver in the history of the division ahead of Thomas Ferrand.

"A great weekend. Second place on Saturday, the Czech anthem finally played on Sunday, so mission accomplished. I hope the fans enjoyed it as much as I did, it was fantastic, I thank them very much for that," Doubek rejoiced after the race. He said he could hear the fans chanting in the stands on the last lap even in the car.

Doubek, who has had bad luck on his home circuit and often faced technical problems, is now aiming for the overall championship victory. However, as he himself says, nothing is decided yet and anything can happen. He still has two races to go before the end of the season: Oschersleben in Germany and Zolder in Belgium.

Martin Macík's premiere behind the wheel of a circuit tractor

Another highlight of the weekend was the debut of Martin Macík, who tried out driving a track truck for the first time. The Dakar winner sat behind the wheel of the Iveco of German driver Steffi Halm on Sunday evening. He completed six laps of the track at a more than brisk pace and praised his first experience with a smile on his face. "I was pleasantly surprised by driving a track truck, so if everything comes together properly and is put together, especially in terms of organization, we could see each other in a race next year, but it's still open," he mysteriously commented on the questions that inevitably had to be asked.

The 32nd Czech Truck Prix once again confirmed its position as one of the most important domestic motor racing events in the Czech Republic. The Most circuit hosted a fantastic weekend full of emotions and tension, which thrilled fans and brought another great success to Czech motorsport.
