Autodrom Most has had another successful year of the Czech Truck Prix & NASCAR. 43,212 fans gathered in the stands and on the grounds over the three days, which is more than last year (40,517).
"We are very happy that we managed to surpass last year's numbers and that fans came to Most in such numbers. For us, it is confirmation that events like the Czech Truck Prix & NASCAR have a great tradition and future in the Czech Republic. I would like to thank the spectators, partners and the entire organizational team for together creating a great atmosphere and motorsport festival," said Josef Zajíček, owner of Autodrom Most and member of AMK Most.
Two main series, historic cars and the President of the Republic
The FIA ETRC European Circuit Truck Championship and the NASCAR Euro Series offered a packed programme on the track. The racing weekend was also completed by the historic Super Sixties and Triumph Competition series, which transported visitors to the atmosphere of the sixties and seventies.
The President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel , who has been a long-time supporter and follower of motorsport, also paid great attention. He visited Most twice - on Thursday he became the first president to sit behind the wheel of a NASCAR , and on Sunday he returned again, this time for a full day of racing. He met with drivers and teams on the circuit and did not miss out on taking photos - his other great hobby.
Czech heroes: Macík, Doubek and Makeš
Czech fans filled the stands, the spectator slope and the paddock and kept their fingers crossed for the home drivers. Martin Macík made his debut on asphalt in European truck racing and gained experience all weekend. "For me, it was a wonderful experience, I learned a lot of new things and we'll see if I ever visit the circuit again. I thank Autodrom Most for allowing me to drive here and experience it with the fans, the support was incredible!" said Macík, who achieved twelfth place in the best of four truck races of the weekend.
In NASCAR, the home crowd was mainly cheering for Martin Doubka , for whom the weekend was a jubilee one – he raced his 100th race in the EuroNASCAR Open on Saturday. Although he longed for a victory that would have included the Czech anthem, he ultimately scored two podiums and showed his fighting spirit: "When I saw the stands full in the introductory lap, it was unbelievable. Even though it wasn't a victory this time, I consider the two second places and the show for the fans a huge experience. This weekend was the highlight of the season for me."
Michal Makeš , who was the TCR Eastern Europe champion, also made his debut. In the EuroNASCAR PRO class, he regularly moved around the top ten in his first start, which is a very valuable performance for a newcomer to stock cars.
The season in Most is not over. NASCAR is signed until 2027
Before the weekend, the organizers announced the extension of the contract with the NASCAR Euro Series promoter for another two years, until the 2027 season.
However, Autodrom Most is far from ending this year's season. The Most Classic 2025 automobile festival will take place on October 4th , and the season will finally close with the Autoshow & Safety Day on October 25th .
