Macík is the ambassador of the Czech Truck Prix 2024. Autodrom Most is in talks about the continuation of WorldSBK

At a press conference on Friday, Autodrom Most introduced Martin Macík as the ambassador of the upcoming Czech Truck Prix 2024, which will take place on the last weekend of August (30/08–1/09). Autodrom Most General Manager Josef Zajíček spoke about plans for the next season.

During the conference, Josef Zajíček presented news about the upcoming 32nd year of the Czech Truck Prix, which has become one of the great traditional motor racing events in the Czech Republic. "Czech fans will be able to cheer on Martin Doubka in NASCAR this year. However, we are also working intensively to ensure that the Czech pilot will appear again among the trucks next year," assured those present, Josef Zajíček, on behalf of the organizing association AMK Most.

One of the main draws of this year's Czech Truck Prix will be Czech driver Martin Doubek , the winner of EuroNASCAR 2 in 2021. He will compete in front of his home crowd as the championship leader in the EuroNASCAR 2 class, where he is one of the main favorites of the race after previous successes.

That will not be all that Czech fans can look forward to, but it is far from all that Czech fans can look forward to. The role of ambassador of the Czech Truck Prix 2024 has been accepted by Martin Macík , the winner of the Dakar Rally, who will actively participate in the entire event. " It is an honor for me to be part of a Czech race with such a rich and more than thirty-year tradition. I am looking forward to meeting the fans and also to Sunday's drive, when I will be able to try out one of the racing trucks directly on the track," said Macík, who will have an exhibition drive with the racing Iveco Steffi Halm on Sunday. However, his participation in the Czech Truck Prix should not end with the racing weekend . Discussions are also underway about further testing in the spring, which should result in Macík's start at the Czech Truck Prix 2025. However, fans will have to wait some time for the final decision.

Autodrom Most: Season 2025

The press conference also provided information about the 2025 season, for which Autodrom Most is planning further modifications . This will include further safety improvements, the construction of a new Medical Center, but also new parts of the asphalt surface in the most stressed parts of the track. In addition, Zajíček also informed about the ongoing negotiations between AMK Most and Dorna regarding the extension of the contract to host the WorldSBK World Championship . This year, the facility recorded a record attendance of almost sixty thousand, and the contract is signed until 2025. "We are building a tradition and it is clear that spectators are happy to return to us. Negotiations are on track, there is interest in continuing from both sides and we believe that we will soon reach an agreement that will ensure the continuation of WorldSBK at the Most autodrom," said Jana Svobodová, chairwoman of the organizing association AMK Most, who also thanked the National Sports Agency and the CzechTourism agency for their support.

Czech Truck Prix 2024

The adrenaline weekend will start on Thursday, August 29th, when a magnificent race of racing machines will take place in the center of Most .

In addition to the races themselves, a rich accompanying program is also prepared for the weekend for spectators, which is free as part of the admission fee and will delight every member of the family. Adrenaline lovers can try OFFROAD taxi rides with IVECO vehicles, improve their driving skills during demonstration courses on safe driving on the polygon or watch a Dragster show. Spectators can also expect an exhibition of American cars, a performance by DAKAR cars or autograph sessions by NASCAR and TRUCK drivers. On both days, there will also be a free Grid Walk for spectators - a unique opportunity to enter the starting grid directly and see the cars and drivers from close range just before the start. Entertainment for the whole family will be provided on the spectator slope by a Ferris wheel, a bouncy castle, children's competitions and a games room in the Auto Gallery.

On Sunday after the end of the program, a joint run along the race track is prepared for those interested, which the general public can participate in, even without tickets.
