Most, August 24, 2026 – Martin Doubek will arrive at the NASCAR Euro Series home race in Most, buoyed by two victories from the last event in the British Brands Hatch. The two-time European NASCAR champion has returned to the fight for the top spots after a complicated start to the season, and the Autodrom Most, where he has already won twice in the past, will be the venue for the last event of this year's regular season from August 27 to 30.
Doubkův's year didn't start as expected. After an accident at the opening event in Spain, he had to undergo surgery, but was able to quickly get back behind the wheel. At the June race at Brands Hatch, he won both races in the OPEN category and reminded everyone why he has long been one of the most successful drivers in this category.
Now he faces a race that has a different status for him than any other on the calendar.
" I'm really looking forward to the home race. I'm especially looking forward to the fans who will come to support us. For a racer, it's a great motivation and a commitment. I believe that many of them will arrive and will push me forward," says Martin Doubek.
He knows the bridge better than most of his opponents.
Doubek has been racing in European NASCAR since 2015 and has completed a number of races and test kilometers in Most. The home circuit also suits him in terms of results. He has already won NASCAR races here twice, most recently in 2024, when his success in Most helped him on the way to his second championship title.
In 2024, he became the first driver in the history of the championship to win the title for the second time in the then EuroNASCAR 2 category, today's OPEN. He won his first title in the 2021 season.
According to him, the Most track is specific from the very first meters of the race. After the starting straight, the riders face sharp braking and a technical first chicane, into which the entire starting field heads together.
"Most is an amazing track and I've done a lot of laps here. The first chicane after the start is especially specific. The task there is quite clear - to survive the start, stay on the track and then start racing," describes Doubek.
He would like to offer his home fans, above all, battles for the top spots. "I want to show them the best race possible and fight for the podium. And if the Czech anthem were to be played again at the Autodrom Most after the victory, it would be something great."
This year, Doubek also showed NASCAR to Gondík, Šebek and Hess
Martin Doubek was not only a racer at the Most circuit this year. During the test day, he also helped the personalities who will be part of this year's Czech Truck & NASCAR Prix with their first kilometers behind the wheel of a NASCAR.
Dalibor Gondík completed his preparation before his start in Friday's Rookie Challenge. Well-known doctor Tomáš Šebek and actor Oskar Hess also tried out NASCAR racing.
"We had a test day with Dalibor and he is really looking forward to the Rookie Challenge. Tomáš Šebek and Oskar were able to try out what a beast this is. They both had a great time behind the wheel and I think they enjoyed it to the fullest. My first reaction to the NASCAR ride was very similar," says Doubek.
Last stop before the crucial part of the season
The NASCAR GP Czech Republic in Most will be the last event of the NASCAR Euro Series regular season before the following races, in which the championship titles will be decided. For Doubek, the home weekend will not only be a matter of prestige in front of Czech fans, but also an important point of this year's season.
NASCAR will also be just one part of the Czech Truck & NASCAR Prix program. The Goodyear FIA ETRC European Circuit Truck Championship will also return to Autodrom Most. Its main Czech faces will include 2017 European Champion Adam Lacko, who is returning to the home crowd with a racing truck after three years.
The weekend will also include The Most Truck Festival with more than a hundred trucks and a race track on Saturday. A new feature will be the NASCAR Run on Friday, where registered participants will be able to walk or run an entire lap of the Most race track.
During the weekend, visitors will also have access to the open paddock directly among the racing teams and equipment. The program will be complemented by activities for families with children, including Sports with Games in the Auto Gallery or the offers of BagrPark and other attractions.
The Czech Truck & NASCAR Prix will take place from August 27 to 30, 2026 at Autodrom Most. The main NASCAR Euro Series and Goodyear FIA ETRC races are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are on sale on the Autodrom Most website.
