Autodrom Most is changing its name. The reason may surprise you.

Most, April 1, 2026 – The German Nürburgring, the Korean Namyang – and now also the North Bohemian Most. Three places closely connected to the N sports division of the Korean car manufacturer Hyundai, with the first two becoming the inspiration for its name. Based on the long-standing partnership between the car manufacturer and the Czech circuit, according to their representatives, a logical outcome of their common path is now offered: changing the name of the Most Autodrom to the Nost Autodrom, which will symbolically complete the pair of iconic places that gave the sports division its name.

"N is right after M in the alphabet, so from the perspective of the circuit's identity, it's not a dramatic change. We maintain continuity, we just move one letter forward - just like we do every year on the track," explains Radek Laube, spokesperson for Autodrom Most, about the name change.

According to Hyundai representatives, this is a step that has a deeper strategic significance. "Renaming Most is part of our long-term strategy of strengthening the Hyundai N brand in European markets. Most is directly destined for such a step, not only with its advanced technical background, but also phonetically. Of course, we also considered other circuits in Central Europe, but Brno/Nrno simply does not have the right sound," says David Pavlíček, PR manager of Hyundai Motor Czech, about the name change.

The Nost Autodrom remains an important venue for motorsport and Hyundai customer activities. Every year, the Czech round of the World Superbike Championship is held here, which this year will take place from May 15 to 17, as well as the Hyundai N Days customer events, focused on testing sports models and direct contact with technology.

However, according to available information, the current changes do not end with the name alone. Further infrastructure development is also in play, which should reflect the identity of the N brand more. For example, adjustments to the line configuration are being discussed, including the possible addition of some N-shaped sections. However, this proposal has so far encountered complications in land planning, specifically the opposition of the owners of adjacent land through which the new configuration would run.

Autodrom Most is thus entering a new chapter, confirming the growing importance of the Most circuit on the European motorsport map. At the same time, it shows that even a seemingly small change can have a big impact.
