46,600 FANS AND TWO CZECH PODIAS. CZECH TRUCK & NASCAR PRIX IN MOST HAS ITS 34TH YEAR

Most, August 30, 2026 – After Saturday, Czech fans still had to wait for the podium, but on Sunday they got it twice. Adam Lacko and Martin Doubek finished the Czech Truck & NASCAR Prix in third place, fulfilling the wishes of the large home audience. In total, 46,600 visitors did not miss this year's sunny motor racing weekend at the Autodrom Most, 3,388 more than last year.

Four races of the Goodyear FIA ETRC European Truck Championship, four NASCAR Euro Series races, historic cars and a rich off-track program offered a virtually non-stop portion of motorsport and entertainment from Friday to Sunday. From the perspective of Czech fans, however, the main plot had a clear theme – will Adam Lacko or Martin Doubka manage to get into the top three after Saturday without a podium? The answer came on Sunday morning.

Doubek made up for Saturday. He finished third with a broken gearbox.
Martin Doubek had a lot to catch up on after Saturday's collision in the Open category. He started Sunday's race from sixth place and gradually worked his way up to third place. However, he finished with technical problems that significantly complicated his path to the home podium. The official results confirmed Doubek's third place behind the winners Raphael Lessard and Thomas Toffel.
"From the fifth or sixth lap, my gearbox fell apart and I couldn't shift gears. The last two laps I was pushing it with my eyes on the finish line, but I managed. It's there," Doubek rejoiced after the race.
For the Czech rider, it was a significant satisfaction after Saturday, when he was close to the podium in the V8GP, but finished fifth, and the subsequent Open race ended prematurely for him after a hard collision.

Lacko fought to the last meters
Spectators had to wait until the very end of the weekend for the Czech podium in the truck races. Adam Lacko finished the first Sunday race in seventh place. However, thanks to the reversed order at the start of the next race, he stood on the front row and got the opportunity to attack the podium. The first Sunday race was won by Norbert Kiss ahead of Antonio Albacete and Jochen Hahn.
The last FIA ETRC race brought a dramatic fight to the finish. Lacko held second place for a long time, finally letting go of the faster Kiss and concentrating on defending third place from Sascha Lenz. He succeeded. The victory was enjoyed by the German rider Steffi Halm , Kiss finished second and Lacko third.
"It was great. It wasn't easy, I had to fight until the last meters. Saša was no easy task. He tried to push me there several times. There was some contact, but I defended myself tooth and nail and fought to maintain my position. I thought it would be a second, but when I saw Kiss behind me, I said, it's pointless to fight with him. So I tried to defend it and then I let him go and I focused on at least getting a third. And it worked out," Lacko said.
And did the home podium entice him to return to the European Championship? "It's hard to say. Let's be surprised," added the 2017 European champion.

Kiss, Halm and Lessard. The bridge offered several big winners
The four races of the European Truck Racing Championship produced three different winners. On Saturday, Norbert Kiss and Lukas Hahn triumphed, on Sunday Kiss added another victory and Steffi Halm dominated the final race.
In the NASCAR Euro Series, Canadian Raphael Lessard shone in particular, winning both Open category races. Sunday's triumph capped his first visit to Most, with Martin Doubek finishing third behind him and Thomas Toffel. American Jordan O'Brien claimed his first victory in the top V8GP category race on Saturday.

"Drivers, start your engines!" was also heard from Jiří Šlégr
Many well-known personalities traditionally did not miss the Most Motor Racing Weekend. Among the guests was also the Olympic hockey champion, Stanley Cup winner and current chairman of the board of HC VERVA Litvínov Jiří Šlégr .
It was Šlégr who was given one of the most famous roles in motorsport before the second NASCAR race on Sunday. He sent the drivers off the grid into the race with the traditional command "Drivers, start your engines!"

Attendance increased year-on-year
This year's Czech Truck & NASCAR Prix was visited by 46,600 people over the weekend. In 2025, 43,212 visitors arrived, so this year's edition attracted almost 3,400 more fans.
"The attendance of 46,600 is a great result and confirmation of how strong a place the Czech Truck & NASCAR Prix has among fans. I am even more happy about the atmosphere of the entire weekend. People enjoyed the great races and the program in the area, and the Czech podiums on Sunday were the perfect finishing touch. I would like to thank the fans, partners, teams and all colleagues who participated in the preparation and organization of the event," says Roman Staněk, owner of Autodrom Most.
The 34th Czech Truck Prix is now a thing of the past. The Most circuit during the last holiday weekend offered full stands, dramatic races and finally two reasons why home fans could celebrate right under the podium.
